Iain, Chrissy, Charmie, Steve H, Russell and Mark headed to Caloundra in April for the Sunshine Coast Cross Country. While it absolutely bucketed down in Brisbane during the Marathon on the same day, conditions were a little kinder up North. It was wet and muddy under foot in places but the rain held off for most of the morning. If you haven't tried cross country since school, you must give this series a go. It's very well organised with events for everyone including 3, 6 and 12 kilometres and even some shorter events for the nippers. In fact, it was a real highlight to see so many young kids from under 5 to teenagers, outside doing something physical instead of inside in front of a TV or games console. Here's a "photo essay" from the day courtesy of guest paparrazi Steve H who was sidelined with flu - with candid captions!

Iain flies - with parachute pants just in case!

Come on Mum, there's a Mars bar ridin' on this.

Gundars! This isn't funny any more, where did you park the car? I said where did you park...

Look I only want some work experience OK? Am I on TV yet? Where's the Channel 7 camera? Is this my best side? Make up, make up...

She splashed me! That little girl splashed me. Hey, come back here, stop, come here you..

Some people reckon I'm going a bit grey on top, but as you can see from this completely untouched photo, I'm not.
