Anyone else notice this bird during the run on Sunday? I am reliably informed by Gundars that it is a Grey Crowned Babbler (Pomatostomus Temporalis) the largest of the Australian Babblers. Personally never seen one before and although quite impressed I didn't stop for a better look like Gundars did. It was a race after all! We can add this one to the list of cool birds we have seen while on the run, right after the brightly coloured yet illusive Wampoo Fruit Dove.
The kids got to run loops around Bruce and Sue's wonderful garden, probably one of the most picturesque short courses on offer!
For the big kids Bruce set a great course accurate to the millimetre and added the novelty of starting the 5k event at the halfway just as the 10k field hit the turn so both fields intermingled. Made for a great event and this is something we'll do again in future. All the results are here or see below.

Here's the full results table including your starting handicap at the beginning of the year or, if you didn't have one, your first race. Also showing is the latest handicap and the difference is therefore how much you have taken off your time this year. Some great improvements and this is what the handicap is all about.
