Race 3 in Smiling Steve’s Super Sandy Slip Slop Slap Summer Series started Sunday at seven with some sultry seasonal supersaturation superimposed on sky, shore and sea as speed supremo Spence in sartorial splendour, swiftly lead a succession of steaming runners as if in a sudatorium, some slowly but surely suffering and sweating, south on the slippery seaside.
No more “s” words I promise.

In the nippers events Laimon was timing but Parso recorded the results so they are dodgy at best – email admin with any amendments. Smiling Steve diverted the runners toward and into the surf at the southern turnaround then made sure they were all well hydrated by splashing everyone.
